Transportation to and from SJC and SFO

You will be landing and deaprting at either San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or San Jose International Airport (SJC). There are a number of ways to get to and from either airport. The conference hotel and other venues are easily accessible from SJC and SFO through Super Shuttle services, Yellow Cab taxi services or car rentals from San Francisco International Airport Rental Car Center and San Jose International Airport Rental Car Center. Should you wish to book your car rentals before arrivals, you can do so with: Hertz Car Rental, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Avis Rent-a-Car, or Alamo Car Rental. You can also book a limousine service by calling Limo Services. You can book or catch a Super Shuttle or taxi at any airport you arrive at. The same applies for transportation to SJC and SFO. Note that taxi rides from SFO to any location farther than 15 miles from SFO will result in a 150% meter charge.

Public Transportation

Around Stanford Campus and University Avenue

Stanford provides a free Marguerite Shuttle Service for transportation around the campus, the Palo Alto Transit Center (located near the conference hotel), the Stanford Shopping Center and California Avenue. To view Marguerite Shuttle Service schedules, visit: Marguerite Schedules and Maps.


Around Palo Alto

Palo Altofs main attractions at University Avenue are within walking distance from the conference hotel. However, should you wish to explore further, take the VTA to explore Santa Clara County and SamTrans to explore San Mateo County.


Around San Francisco and San Jose

Both San Francisco and San Jose are easily accessible through riding the CalTrain, which is located at the Palo Alto Transit Center near the conference hotel. For CalTrain routes, schedules and fares, visit: CalTrain.

Other Information

Bike Rentals:

Campus Bike Shop at Tresidder Union rents bicycles to visitors. (Their rental rates are $15.00 per day, $20.00 for two days)
